Chris Cantore Launches his Soundiego music blog for NBC San Diego. This completely new blog features news and events around town focusing on but not at all limited to the music scene. Chris has been involved in the local music scene in San Diego for many years, and now in partnership with NBC is covering local as well as national music news for you and NBC. His latest trip to South by South West showcased local San Diego talent as well as a insiders eye view of the music mayhem in it’s entirety. All venues as well as post and pre event hilarity were updated on twitter with pics and commentary tagged #sxsw on a regular basis. Chris Cantore The Green Room
Chris Cantore’s new project “The Green Room” features up and coming young artists on the verge of breaking it big. This is what Chris has to say about this new venture.
“in 2008, i had the great fortune of connecting with NAS productions. specifically, josh/megan/kevin. not only an insanely talented bunch, but more importantly, good people, friends, (and ironically, former 91X/”cantore in the morning” listeners.) While collaborating on successful campaigns for the haunted hotel, del mar race track, and surfrider foundation, we discussed our desire to produce a music show. specifically, a show that would introduce the viewer to NEW, noteworthy artists, packaged with behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, and rich, live performances. As opposed to the traditional path of shopping a pitch, we opted for a DIY (do-it-yourself) approach, and produced a demo. personally, i haven’t been this PROUD of a creative property since my early radio days…

is the new album by Italian Japanese for release 08-04-09. This band is the latest creation of Allen Collenari with band-mates Justin Greene and Chris Mclaughlin. When not playing in LA and San Diego Allen can be found behind the bar at Ono. We feel that good music and good food go together at Ono and we are proud to help young artists showcase there talent.
